I really like this piece, especially the eyes and expression, from what one can see this is just the way he would look, the pained expression going along with sometimes pained lyrics. Some say yellow is the colour of cowardice, in this case I believe it shows a sense of him being afraid of the world. The microphone and the stage are the boundary, and the crowd looking on are the intruders, looking into his world, wanting more and more until finally they've taken everything.

Wow. Such an insightful comment. Made me feel a little emotional, I have to admit. Thank you very much.

The symbolism of colour is a funny thing. Is red, passion? Is red, danger?

I have always associated yellow with a sense of slow burning peril, the eerie sickly sensation of knowing something is not quite right.

Eventually they did take everything, didn't they.

Excellent work, very dramatic as he was in life. I did a pic of him as well.

Thanks for the comment.

I am not going to be naive enough to say that Kurt Cobain invented the grunge scene but he certainly is the figurehead.

For any teenagers growing up through the Nineties, the Grunge Scene was kind of like our very own Punk Era of the Seventies.

No other movement has change the face of Rock Music to such an extent since.

I actually didn't grow up with grunge- I was born a few years too late i reckon. But yes, i totally agree with you.
